SEO for clinics and dentists: what patients search for before booking

SEO for clinics is based on the fact that patients look for a procedure, its price, and reviews on Google before they call, and increasingly ask AI assistants too. That is why we build it on the questions people ask before booking. At Topranker, we do this in three short sprints as part of our SEO services, and we show the results in five studies. We also handle SEO for AI, factually and without promising treatment results.

Patients always follow the same path. First they find out which procedure they need, then they look at the price and the downsides, read reviews, and finally search for a clinic in their city.

The same principle applies to SEO for dentists, as well as to dental offices, dental hygiene, or teeth whitening. For the orthodontic clinic, we created a separate page for each type of braces, pages with prices and installment plans, and a page for parents of children.

  1. Which procedure I need
  2. Price and downsides
  3. Reviews
  4. A clinic in my city

Four types of queries that decide the booking

What decides it are queries about the procedure, about price and installment plans, about downsides and reviews, and about the city.

Trust, expertise, and advertising rules in SEO for healthcare services

We write texts about procedures without promising results, with a named author from among the specialists, and with references to sources.

For clinics, local SEO and the business profile in Google Maps also matter. SEO is one of the channels that bring in a patient, but marketing for clinics and marketing for dentists do not end there.

Body care services that are not health services under Act No. 372/2011 Sb. (the Health Services Act) are restricted by the consumer protection act. According to the position of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, even a true statement that misleads about expected results counts as deceptive conduct (§ 5 of Act No. 634/1992 Sb., the Consumer Protection Act).

What does not belong in a text about a procedure

So do not write a guaranteed result or “risk-free”; describe the procedure and how it goes.

Frequently asked questions about SEO for clinics

How long does it take for SEO to bring a clinic its first patients?

Changes in local search are usually visible within weeks. For competitive procedures, strong positions take months of work. It depends on the competition in the field and on the condition of the website at the start.

How much does SEO for a clinic and a dental office cost?

A website analysis and SEO plan come to CZK 36,590 excl. VAT, a content sprint costs CZK 5,592, and a link sprint CZK 18,295.

Does SEO also help with visibility in AI answers?

Yes. AI assistants draw on factual pages that answer patients’ specific questions, which is why we build such pages for AI answers too. You can find concrete numbers above, under the orthodontic clinic.

May a clinic write about procedures and results?

Yes, but factually. Describe the course of the procedure, the risks, what to consider beforehand, and an indicative price, without promising a treatment result and with sources.
